Scenes at the Manila Bay

Was able to walk with my AJ Orgmates last January around Manila, and the bay area was our last stop. We were able to capture great sunset shots and the people who were enjoying this as well…and some were swimming at the bay.

Anyways, if you’ve been following my blog, I have a lot of sunset shots of the Manila Bay and other places around the Metro and provinces. Just click here:

Last Friday, January 31, we celebrated the Chinese New Year in Binondo, Manila. And t’was definitely more fun and way better than last year’s celebration. Aside from our kababayans, it was also filled with tourists, and dancing dragons and lions. This was definitely a day to remember.

So we got the chance to organize a Chinese New Year Photowalk. And yep, it was a successful one. Really enjoyed the company of my fellow JaywalkersPH, friends, and photography enthusiasts.

Will post more in the coming days.

Reflections: A Self-Portait

Here are some of the shots from my photo walk with my former orgmates in college. In this set you’ll see photos of my reflections. It’s interesting to look for subjects where your reflections can be projected. For example, I used the eye of my friend to project my reflection and I was glad that it was pretty sharp since the sun was directly facing him.

Try to look for interesting objects where you can shoot your reflections! Use #JuanReflection then I’ll feature your photo on my blog if I find it awesome!

Project Manila: In Monochrome

“When you photograph people in color, you photograph their clothes. But when you photograph people in Black and white, you photograph their souls!” by Ted Grant

Black and White really adds drama to a photograph. I just love how my shots in this set look in Black and White. A different perspective to look at things.  This shots were taken from a photowalk that I did 2 years ago that started at Quiapo to Intramuros. Just converted these images to black and white to make it more interesting. I really miss doing photowalks.
